Coach Lola has always had a passion for sports and working with children. She is very excited about the opportunity to improve the skills of young athletes throughout Sacramento County. Growing up in the bay area, Lola started playing sports at a young age and ultimately fell in love with the game of basketball. She played all four years of varsity basketball at Skyline High School in Oakland, California and went on to receive multiple All-City Team awards and became a McDonald’s All-American Nominee.
After her senior year, Lola earned a scholarship to attend Dominican University of California and became Freshman of the Year of their conference. While attending college, she began coaching at summer youth camps and working with local AAU teams. She also continued providing individual training for young athletes throughout the community. After graduating, she was chosen to travel overseas and play with USA Athletes International. Coach Lola started her journey with One on One Basketball in 2009 and during that time spent two years coaching varsity boys at Oakland Military Institute. She eventually helped lead that team to success with an undefeated league record and a league championship.
